Jenna Cole Photography-Dallas, TX bio picture

Welcome to Jenna Cole!

Investing in a camera and launching this business has given me the
chance to merge the two activities I love most, photography and blogging. After spending several months taking still life photos for my other blogging endeavors (That Bride, Weddingbee, and That Wife) I realized that I wanted to start spending time with people. I wanted to spend my days taking pictures of people that helped them to see how beautiful they are.

I want to capture the moments in your life as they are happening, as they would happen even if I wasn't there with you. When the light falls just right, and the boy and the girl look at each other just so, magic happens. I want to be there for that moment, composing an image that tells a story, your story.

You can read more about my personal life at That Wife, add me on Twitter, or find me on Facebook. Thank you for visiting and for commenting (I read them all and they make my day!).

As I prepare for the next big event in my life (the birth of my baby in April!), I'm going to be refocusing my business and sacling back on the number and type of sessions I am accepting. I'll be on maternity leave beginning in March and lasting through May. Please contact me if you have any questions!

Bridal: Kate

I’m running a bit behind on things so I’m going to keep my comments short and sweet for this post and hope that Kate won’t mind. Readers should I just take the easy route from now on, lose the dialog and just let you scroll quickly through the photos?

You may recognize this gorgeous face (seriously Kate, you are so unbelievably stunning) as she is also a fellow bee from Weddingbee. It’s the one and only Mrs. Kitten. You must go watch her wedding video preview. Go, right now. But then come back here right afterward of course.

Kate was a week-old newlywed when I took these pictures and she brought her new husband along which caused her to beam. I wish every bridal shoot would happen a week after the wedding with the husband tagging along because the joy on her face was so genuine.

It was fiesta in San Antonio that weekend and so we had to find a way to use the flags.

Kate’s husband told me this is the face she makes when she gets cold. Could she be any more adorable?

Where can I get that body. They don’t sell it at Target because I’ve checked. Maybe I’m just shopping at the wrong stores?

IMG_6621

Make-up check by the husband. Darling.

THAT SHOT!

It’s the colors. And the smile. And the fact that she looks this amazing after being rained on.

That smile was sent right over to the husband. I wasn’t looking but I’m sure he smiled right back.

Because this was post-wedding it turned into a trash the dress of sorts. Kate told me she jumped into the ocean in that dress one week before we did the shoot and she used Oxi-Clean to get it photo ready for her time with me. Time to break out the Oxi-Clean once again!

Gotta get a picture with my bee sistas whenever I meet them. :)

Kitten and Avocado was surprisingly delicious wasn’t it Kate? Thanks for getting up so early on a Saturday morning to do the shoot with me. You’re gorgeous! (Wait, did I already say that? I just can’t stop!)

Best,
Jenna

June 17, 2009 - 3:04 am Becky - Jenna, these are my favorite shots of yours to date. I love them! Also, the dialogue is the personality of your blog...don't lose it! :)

June 17, 2009 - 6:03 am Kat Forsyth - I said this on FB already, but I love these! Wow! Mrs Kitten is so lovely. Her husband must be beaming from ear to ear (probably that's why she was beaming right back). But it's not just that Mrs K is beautiful...there's something to capturing beauty in a person, and you've done it!

June 17, 2009 - 7:51 am Gen - fifteen:fifty-one photography - Wow..she really is stunning!!! I don't know if I could be friends with someone whose hair looks that good in the rain?!?!?! Great job Jenna (again!) and please don't stop the dialogue...you've become my morning reading and I think that I would start to develop a nervous twitch or something without it!!!

June 17, 2009 - 8:54 am Britt - Keep the dialog coming! Your pictures keep getting more and more beautiful! Well done Jenna! :)

June 17, 2009 - 10:48 am Jenny - These pictures are gorgeous! I love the one where she is running, and you can see her dress from the back so pretty. The colors are beautiful! I love the dialogue! I am sure it must be a lot of work though... but I always very much enjoy reading it.

June 17, 2009 - 11:05 am Sheila - If you find that body at Target, let me know! Gorgeous bride and photos. I also love your comments. Keep it up!

June 17, 2009 - 6:42 pm Tamara - My favorite is the black and white one on the stairs from the back. It reminds me of a Vogue ad or something. Amazing.

June 17, 2009 - 9:50 pm Allison - Jenna your photos are wonderful! If I am ever near Dallas I will be making up a reason to get pictures taken :D (and Kate - you are gorgeous!)

June 18, 2009 - 4:27 am busylizzy - Gorgeous! And the buttons...oh, how I love the little buttons! Especially in the side view.

June 18, 2009 - 12:14 pm Maria - I found you on Elizabeth Anne Designs, and you do fantastic work. I absolutely ADORE your logo!!!

June 18, 2009 - 9:47 pm Ashley - I LOVE all your photography!

June 18, 2009 - 11:40 pm Whitni - LOVE the one from the back where she is running...I know she has a beautiful face so its a shame you can't see it in my fave, but I just love how I can see the motion in the shot. It is really beautiful to me.
