So my guess is that you just so happened to zoom your lens as you snapped the pic with a slow enough shutter speed to capture the lens zoom, all the while having the center point selected as the foucus of the image…luckily focused on your couple. It’s a fun and under-used camera trick. Thanks for reminding me of it! Oh, and if you were using a fixed/prime lens…then this expanation is irrelavent!
