Teaser: Kelli and Cory

Husband and I are keeping a pretty tight Christmas gift budget this year, so I had to get creative. Might as well use my camera equipment worth thousands of dollars to make presents for our closest friends here in Texas, no?

Kelli and Cory are the first of a few sessions I’m doing as gifts this year, and it’s going to be hard to top. They aren’t engaged but they are in love, and it was wonderful to spend the weekend with them.  I’ve never marked so many photos as favorites to share on the blog, so their full post is going to be a big one. Love you two!

November 8, 2009 - 5:07 pm Mandy - I love them! They definitely look like they are in love and enjoying their time together. Do you speculate an engagement is imminent? My (now) fiance and I also have some pictures, I call them our unengagement pictures because a photog friend took them long before we were engaged. Now that we are, and aren't sure whether we will be able to afford engagement pictures, I love them even more!

November 8, 2009 - 6:38 pm Shell - Ahhh, they are adorable together!! Fantastic job!

November 8, 2009 - 8:33 pm Rebecca Walters - Beautiful!!! I especially love the silouette and the one with the blurry grass in the foreground.

November 8, 2009 - 10:45 pm Genavee - Oh, I love these! The colors are so vibrant and fresh, especially the one in the grass. Just fabulous.

November 8, 2009 - 10:48 pm Kelli Nicole - Yay! I love these so much, and I love having someone to take pictures WITH! I'm so excited to go through them all!!! And I'm so glad I bought him that shirt :).

November 9, 2009 - 2:51 am Anna Mae - Oh these are gorgeous! I love the sunset/silhouette photo. What an amazing opportunity to do a photo session for your own wedding photographer! Was it surreal?!

November 9, 2009 - 9:15 am Kim - beautiful!

November 9, 2009 - 11:25 am Kelli Nicole - I just noticed that you can see like 50 mosquitoes flying above our heads in the last shot! Lol!

November 9, 2009 - 11:38 am Jenna - Anna Mae-Definitely! I think her work is amazing (obviously or I would never have hired her for something as important as my wedding), but I think I got a few shots that she will be really happy with. It was my first shoot with another photographer and so incredibly easy. She posed herself all over the place, moved when she could tell the light wasn't even, was willing to lay down in grass *filled* with bugs and grossness, etc etc. I kind of want to shoot photographers all the time now! :)

November 9, 2009 - 2:17 pm Jen - That first photo is gorgeous but I LOVE the second one. So interesting and unique!

November 9, 2009 - 8:18 pm Chelsea McGowan - This is exactly what we did for Christmas last year! I got so many comments that it was a much better gift that something purchased, because I was using my time and talent to give something really fun and personal. I know your friends and family are going to love their gifts just as much!
