Sometimes when you take pictures of family members, it can a considerable amount of time to sit down and edit them. No rush to get these back to my sister of course (she is the lovely model you see pictured), as she has copies of all the original files to play with on her own time.

This whole session was rather dreamy and I get so excited whenever I look at the photos. One reason I love this one in particular? (Other than the gorgeous Utah sunset!) My sister is wearing my mom’s veil, the same veil I also wore for my wedding 8 months before her, making this photo both sentimental and beautiful. I hope those of you setting up your own photo shoots in the future can find a way to do so in your own unique manner!

Michelle and Dan were one of the couples I worked with during my visit for Washington DC and it was so fun to work to try to fulfill their vision for their engagement photos. Michelle told me she would be putting together a custom Save the Date for their wedding, with a Hollywood glam type feel to introduce their guests to the amazing wedding they’ve been putting so much work into planning. What do you think? I loved seeing my work used in this way!

I did an engagement session with Kathryn and Eric in the Spring of last year, back when I was doing free portfolio building sessions. As we were parting at the end of that day they told me they would like to talk to me about shooting their wedding for them. I crossed my fingers and hoped and hoped… and then they signed!

Aren’t I lucky they made up their mind so quickly?

The clients waiting to see these photos know it, but the rest of you might not… I’m months behind in my blogging! The last few sessions I posted were from August and I’m just now moving into September. I’m slowing things down as I prepare for baby to come so I’ll catch up eventually but I can’t seem to make myself skip over anyone. Everyone deserves their time in the spotlight on Jenna Cole, you know?

So I’ll keep making my way through sessions, one post at a time. There are just so many awesome photos coming up that I thought I’d throw together a quick teaser post with some of my favs.

I have several engagement sessions, all really unique and wonderful in their own way…

A bridal session that involved a “secret garden”…

And even some kids/families! I had a few sessions booked before I posted about cutting them out of my portfolio, but these sessions were so fantastic I think I’m convinced that toddlers are too cute to be eliminated from my repertoire completely…

And last but not least, a few “gift” sessions, given to our closest friends. I’ve been pouring all of my money into this photography business which means not a lot of money left over for Christmas gifts. So we chose to gift photos this year! I’ve done 2 of the 3 sessions we have planned and the results have been fabulous thus far. We’re lucky to be friends with such beautiful people!
