Documenting who you are. Not just what you look like.

I focus on lifestyle sessions that capture families, couples, and high school seniors. My first love will always be engagements, bridals, and weddings. I've previously spent time photographing in Dallas and Chicago, and currently call the San Francisco Bay Area my home.

I’m going to come to Washington state (central Washington, where my parents live) for somewhere between 4-8 weeks during the months of June and July. If you live in Washington state and would like to do a portrait session please get in contact with me as I’ll be offering some discounts. Living near family for a few weeks means I have babysitters at the ready at all times, and I’d love to do some work in the home state that will always hold a special place in my heart. :)

If you are getting married in Washington during June/July, please get in touch with me and we’ll see if we can work something out. Of course I’m always willing to travel anywhere you’d like me to go for a wedding. This year so far I have two in Dallas, one in New Hampshire, and one in Chicago!

I received some canvases from Simply Canvas this week, and I wanted to share them with you! I had a fantastic experience with Simply Canvas, specifically due to Drew in the customer service department and I plan on using them in the future as well.

I showed you this file last week, and here is how the actual product looks.

Fun little side note. One reason to order a canvas through your photographer (well, other than the fact that the best labs will only work with professionals) is that not all files will work for the purpose you might have in mind.

Here is the original file, Can you see how I framed the shot so that it cut off right below his foot? On a canvas, that would have had his foot wrapping around the frame, if I hadn’t gone in and done some editing to add to the area below his feet.

After a little bit of time spent in Photoshop, I had enough room at the bottom and on the sides to allow Simply Canvas to wrap the photo around the frame without wrapping his foot as well. Not to mention the little bit of skin smoothing I did, and eliminating the jeans wrinkle she had on her bum!

A little sneak peek for Laura and Matt! I’ll have these in the mail soon. (Laura, I’m so in love with the one on the bottom right. Just wait until you see it in real life, the colors are amazing!)

Someday I will pay off all of my investments in Jenna Cole, and then I will be able to start building a canvas cluster wall of my very own. For now, I’ll just have to dream…
